Wedding Car Rental in Bat Yam

From the Park Yam skyscrapers to a city hall shaped like an upside-down pyramid: your wedding day in the city named for the sea.

Bat Yam began as a garden suburb called Bayit VeGan, “House and Garden,” on the dunes south of Jaffa, and in 1937 took the name “Daughter of the Sea.” The shore has been its heart ever since. Wedding car rental in Bat Yam revolves around that waterline: a promenade of restaurants and hotels, a pier raised above the waves and a hilltop park that looks straight out to the horizon.

Leaving town is simple, with the Ayalon Highway right along the eastern edge. The last stretch needs more thought: light-rail streets, a shopping street crowded with bus lanes, and a promenade that becomes the city's summer living room. Book the G63 chauffeured or keep the keys yourselves, and plan all of it with us in English, from the first WhatsApp to the last ride.

01 · Bat Yam

Why couples in Bat Yam choose the G-Class

  • A promenade on the cliff

Ben-Gurion Boulevard, the westernmost street, is in practice the promenade, and in places it runs along a cliff above the beach. A recent renovation added steps and bleachers that descend to the beach, plus lighting nicknamed the “star ceiling,” so the same corner works by day and after dark.

  • The Riviera that was planned

In Israel's early years, Bat Yam was pictured as the country's future Riviera, and one beach still carries the name. Sailing clubs, hotels, a pool and a pier followed, and the shoreline became the city's main public space, a seaside backdrop that shifts every few steps.

  • Every beach has a character

The municipality lists thirteen beaches along about 3.5 kilometers of coast: a natural lagoon for small sailboats in the north, a surfers' beach, swimming beaches calmed by breakwaters, Riviera Beach with its waterfront gallery and, in the far south, Tayo Beach. Choose still water, waves or a row of hotels.

02 · Pickup

Pickup on the day in Bat Yam

A Bat Yam neighborhood's age tells you what pickup to expect. Ramat Yosef, the highest part of town, was built mostly in the 1950s and '60s, and the Amidar estate has ground-level homes, so mornings there often begin at a front door. In the southwest, Park Yam is a cluster of skyscrapers on the Rishon LeZion border; there, agree beforehand on the exact entrance.

Typical pickups

  • A Park Yam tower, with the stopping point by the lobby agreed ahead
  • A ground-level house in the Amidar estate, straight out through the gate
  • A hotel on Ben-Gurion Boulevard: lobby to promenade on foot
  • A building on a Red Line street (Rothschild, Herzl, Yoseftal or Nissenbaum) or on bus-heavy Balfour Street: meet one block over

03 · Photos

Photo stops with the car in Bat Yam

Public places couples choose for photos, with what to know before you go.
  • 01

    The pier at Riviera Beach

Used mostly by anglers, the pier was rebuilt in the promenade renewal: raised, decked in wood and fitted with bar seating. From its tip you stand over open water with the skyline behind you, and the beach's gallery, with changing exhibitions, adds an older building to the view.

Neither the pier nor the beach is open to the car.

  • 02

    City Hall, 17 Nordau Street

Zvi Hecker, Eldar Sharon and Alfred Neumann designed this Brutalist inverted pyramid, built 1960–1963; the press called it the “upside-down pagoda.” Its floors widen as they rise, and the bare concrete draws hard diagonal lines: a graphic backdrop, far from the sea, that suits a black G-Class and black-and-white photos.

Staff and visitors come and go all week, so shoot the outside and stop only in legal spots.

  • 03

Sea View Park (Yoni Netanyahu Park)

A hill on Naomi Shemer Street, at the Rishon LeZion border, once nicknamed “garbage mountain.” Its slopes were stabilized and planted, and paths and stairs now climb to a summit that looks over the sea from about 20 meters (65 feet). The park opened in 2023, facing the western horizon.

The top is reached on foot, so bring comfortable shoes for the climb.

  • 04

The steps between promenade and sand

The renewal built steps and bleachers linking street level with the beach. They give your photographer a high angle with the sea filling the background, and the promenade's decorative lighting lets you keep shooting there after sunset.

Under Israel's beach-driving law, vehicles must stay off the shore strip up to 100 meters inland from the high-water line, approved roads and parking lots aside. The car stays in town, legally parked, while you and your photographer head down the steps.

04 · Event areas

Where weddings happen around Bat Yam

  • In the HaMatzeva area of northern Independence Boulevard (Sderot HaAtzmaut), event halls sit among banks, shops and restaurants.
  • On Palm Beach, between the separate-swimming beach and Tayo Beach, a bar with a lawn hosts beach parties and events.

05 · The route

Planning the drive in Bat Yam

Two Ayalon (Highway 20) interchanges serve the city directly, Yoseftal and Komemiyut, each with a railway station beside it. Yoseftal Street crosses town from east to west and ends at the sea, while HaKomemiyut Street, the main road of the south, runs from its interchange to Ben-Gurion Boulevard on the shore.

Local streets reach the neighbors: Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa flows into Independence Boulevard, Sokolov and Moshe Dayan Streets come in from Holon, and HaKovshim Road leads to Rishon LeZion. Choose by where your hall is and when you set off, and check a traffic app at the last minute.

  • Ayalon (Highway 20): Yoseftal and Komemiyut interchanges
  • Yoseftal Street: from the interchange to the sea
  • HaKomemiyut Street: from the interchange to Ben-Gurion Boulevard
  • Independence Boulevard and Jerusalem Boulevard: north to Jaffa
  • HaKovshim Road: south to Rishon LeZion

06 · Chauffeur or self-drive

A wedding car with a chauffeur in Bat Yam

Distances in Bat Yam are short; the challenge is stopping. In summer the promenade is packed, there's no room for a car by the water at the pier, and some streets down to the sea cross the light-rail tracks. With someone else driving, you're dropped at the nearest point while the G-Wagon moves to proper parking, then comes back once the last frame is taken.

09 · Questions

Questions about a wedding in Bat Yam

Which spots in Bat Yam look down on the sea?

You have three vantage points: the cliff-top stretches of the promenade along Ben-Gurion Boulevard, the new steps and bleachers down to the beach, which let you shoot from several levels, and Sea View Park in the south, about 20 meters above the water. You reach the top by stairs and paths, so ask your photographer to allow time for the walk.

Can Adam's Rock be in our photos?

Yes, from the beach or the promenade. The rock rises about 150 meters (500 feet) offshore and forms part of a breakwater built in the late 1960s, which created a shallow, calm lagoon; an Israeli flag flies on top. In 2023 the beach was widened by dozens of meters with sand pumped from the sea, so there's room to stand and shoot. The car stays parked.

Our reception is up in Tel Aviv or down in Rishon LeZion. Which exit?

Going north, join the Ayalon at the Yoseftal interchange or take Independence Boulevard, which becomes Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa. Going south, get on at Komemiyut or drive HaKovshim Road into Rishon LeZion. If you're shooting on the promenade, finish on the stretch of shore closest to the right exit and head for the hall from there.

Can we pose with the car in front of City Hall?

City Hall at 17 Nordau Street is a working public building, so the inverted pyramid is photographed from outside, with the car pulled over at a legal spot rather than at the entrance. Riviera Beach runs south from Nordau Street, which lets you pair City Hall and the pier in one stop. Before a professional shoot, ask whether approval is needed.
